When you reach the boulder field, there are generous cairns all over the place, but they disappointingly disappear later on when you need them to enter the route up the saddle. There seem to be several routes up the mountain so be sure to keep left at any trail fork beyond the meadow, even if the trail appears overgrown (the official trail which we took on the descent was somewhat overgrown in parts). On your way back down, after your out of all the rocky stuff, there's a little trap in the wetland area. About the choices of cruxes: After reading about 3 different ways to summit, I decided on the Robinson Variation of the Broads Fork Trail head because it sounded like the safest route, and perhaps the easiest. This is more about crossing a peak off your list that you can see from the valley than it is for enjoyment. 3 hours 30 minutes to the West Peak, make sure you don't stop on the east Peak only. At a certain point the trail disappears and it is an ugly frustrating scramble in lose rocks, prickly plants, and slippery snow.
